I’m not sure about you all but when it comes to organizing my daughter’s things, the experience can be frustrating. The latest eyesore in the house has been her arts and crafts bin, originally I thought it would be a great idea to house all of her art stuff into a storage bin for easy storage. Unfortunately, this did not work for us. The bin was always super messy and she did not use all of her supplies because she could not see what she had. I noticed that the top layer of the bin was what was used the most. Something had to change, it drove me crazy whenever I looked at her little art bin. I did not like it and neither did she so we set out to find the perfect solution to our problem.
In my craft room I have three tier rolling cart that I mainly use to store stuff for projects so I don’t have to run back and forth from my closet to my work table or have a huge mess on top of my work space. We figured that this would work much better than the plastic bin and it’s simple enough to keep together. The cart I have came from Ikea and it was in the $30 price range but our closest Ikea is a couple of hours away. Lucky for us, Target sells a similar cart for the same price!
I had a storage bin filled with random containers which I used to house her various art supplies and after about half an hour trying to figure out which containers to fill with what, we reached our goal. We ended up with an art cart/ homework cart, basically an all in one cart she can pull out whenever she’s feeling creative or simply to do homework. Once she’s done she can roll the cart back to it’s place and go about her day. It was still missing something at the end so I decided to spruce it up with some Cricut love.
For this I used:
Font- Birthday Cakes (free with Cricut Access)
Art Supply Decals- Images from the Cricut database (also free with Cricut Access)

This mini project was a lot of fun and my daughter absolutely loves it! It’s been a few days and so far she’s been keeping up with putting supplies back and likes that she can take it anywhere in the house. I hope this project inspired you all and if you decide to make one of your own, share a picture in the comments! I would love to see what you create. Have a great day!
*Note* There is some vinyl layering involved in this so it can be a bit tricky, my advice is to go slow, make use of your transfer tape and most of all keep glancing at the original image to make sure you are using the right layers.
